Irene Bedard (born July 22, 1967) is an Alaska Native actress enrolled in the Native Village of Koyuk who has played many American Indian characters in a variety of television shows and films. She is best known for her voice role as the title character in the Disney animated film "Pocahontas," and the cult-classic "Smoke Signals" as Suzy Song. She is known for bringing a powerful emotional presence to her characters.
Bedard was born in Anchorage, Alaska, raised primarily in Alaska, but also spent a few years as a child in Washington state. Her father was Bruce Bedard, and mother was Carol Bedard, and she is their oldest of four - Leslie Bedard, Joseph Bedard, and David Bedard are her younger siblings. She is Inupiaq and Yup'ik on her mother's side, and Cree on her father's side. She graduated from Anchorage's Dimond High School in 1985, and then earned a Musical Theatre degree from The University of the Arts in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Bedard's son Quinn Wilson was born in 2003.
Her first role was as Mary Crow Dog in the television production, "Lakota Woman: Siege at Wounded Knee," which depicted the 1970s standoff between police and Native Americans, many of the Pine Ridge Reservation, at Wounded Knee, South Dakota. She received a Golden Globe nomination for the role. Besides the first Disney Pocahontas movie, she also voiced direct-to-video sequel "Pocahontas II: Journey to a New World." Bedard was the physical model for the character. She appeared in a different take of the Pocahontas story in Terence Malick's 2005 film "The New World," as Pocahontas's mother, Nonoma Winanuske Matatiske. In 2005, she was cast in the television mini-series Into the West, portraying the half-Lakota, half-white adult Margaret "Light Shines" Wheeler. In 2011 Bedard portrayed the Messenger in the Academy Award-nominated film, "Tree of Life." In 2018, Bedard reprised her voiced role of Pocahontas for Disney's "Ralph Breaks the Internet."
Her television roles span from 1995, including Stephen Spielberg's "Into the West," "The Spectacular Spider-Man," "Longmire," "Westworld," and "FBI: Most Wanted." She has performed in two Stephen King series, 2017's "The Mist" as Kimi Lucero, and 2020's "The Stand" as Ray Rentner. Kira Buckland was born and raised in Anchorage, Alaska. She found her passion for performing while in middle school and originally wanted to be a rock singer, but at age sixteen she began participating heavily in online voice acting communities and lending her voice to independent projects. At the time, she became recognized as the familiar female voice that people would hear in a lot of Flash animations and games. She also became one of the pioneers of the early Internet voice acting scene by founding the online community known as the "Voice Acting Club".
After moving to southern California in 2011, Kira continued her acting training and practice, and ended up landing roles in projects such as anime and video games. She worked a variety of other jobs in the meantime (her favorite of those being a neonatal caregiver at a kitten nursery), and finally was able to make voiceover her full-time career in the summer of 2018. As someone who is passionate about gaming, Kira is thrilled to be one of the voices heard in many video games played around the world. Her most known role is as the lead character "2B" in the game "NieR:Automata", a role which she was able to reprise in the fighting game "Soulcalibur VI" along with the character "Talim".
When not acting, Kira loves listening to classic rock music (particularly David Bowie), watching makeup tutorials, playing fighting games, going on Pokewalks, cosplay/conventions, and taking care of her multiple cats. John Dixon Paragon was born in Alaska, but grew up and attended schools in Fort Collins, Colorado. He got his start in the Los Angeles-based improvisation group The Groundlings alongside Paul Reubens and Phil Hartman. John is best known for his work on children's show Pee-wee's Playhouse where he played Jambi the Genie and voiced Pterri the Pterodactyl. In addition to writing many of the regular season episodes of Pee-wee's Playhouse (1986), John also co-wrote with Paul Reubens the acclaimed "Pee-wee's Playhouse Christmas Special" in 1988, for which they were nominated an Emmy Award for Best Writing in a Children's Special. He has also collaborated with fellow Groundling Cassandra Peterson on numerous projects, including the recurring role of The Breather, an annoying caller, for her first television series Movie Macabre on KHJ-TV-Los Angeles and was co-writer on her 1988 feature film, Elvira Mistress of the Dark. Born in Fairbanks, Alaska and raised all over the United States-everywhere from New York to Hawaii, Brody began his professional acting career in 1995. Reuben Langdon is an international Stuntman, Actor, Filmmaker and Video Game Star whose work you can see in productions like Pirates of the Caribbean, the Power Rangers series, and the highest grossing film of all time, Avatar, where he was the stunt double of Jake Sully's alien Avatar. Reuben shot to stardom in the video game world with leading roles as Ken Masters in Street Fighter and Dante in the Devil May Cry franchise. To date, it is still the most comprehensive body of evidence and testimony delivered to the public on the ET subject matter.- Bart the Bear II is an 8.5-foot tall, 1,110-pound Alaskan brown bear whose impact on wildlife has been even bigger than his body or his acting accomplishments. Also known as Little Bart, Bart II is small only in comparison to his predecessor, Bart the Bear, who stood a foot taller and 400 pounds heavier in his prime. Orphaned as a tiny cub in Alaska, Bart II and his sister, Honey Bump, were rescued and delivered to Doug and Lynne Seus, the Utah-based animal trainers who had turned Bart the Bear into an international celebrity and established The Vital Ground Foundation in 1990 to help protect habitat for Bart's wild grizzly cousins. Little Bart soon got very big, in the flesh and in the film industry. Born in Tanana, Alaska, the rural village that is the location of the popular Discovery Channel docu-drama, Yukon Men, Rae grew up in a log cabin without electricity or running water. She loved reading and excelled in her studies in high school, graduating a year early. Actor Cedric Sanders can be seen in the incredible recurring role in Season 18 of the award-winning medical drama "Grey's Anatomy" playing Simon Clark. The series focuses on a group of young doctors at Seattle Grace Mercy West Hospital who began their careers at the facility as interns. Simon is a patient struggling in a long-term battle with a serious illness and uses humor to distract himself from how serious his condition really is. He is a kind and devoted husband and father-to-be. Sanders' episodes aired in May of 2022.Episodes now available on Netflix and Hulu.
Sanders can also now be seen in a strong supporting role in Micheal Bay's highly anticipated film, Ambulance on Amazon Prime and Peacock. Needing money to cover his wife's medical bills, a decorated veteran (Jake Gyllenhaal) teams up with his adoptive brother (Vahya Abdul-Mateen II) to steal $32 million from a Los Angeles bank. However, when their getaway goes spectacularly wrong, the desperate thieves hijack an ambulance that's carrying a severely wounded cop and an EMT worker. Caught in a high-speed chase, the two siblings must figure out a way to outrun the law while keeping their hostages alive. Sanders plays Officer Mark Ranshaw, a patrol officer for the LAPD, who's partner is the injured cop in the ambulance that gets kidnapped by Gyllenhaal and Abdul-Mateen II. Throughout the film he is determined to save his partner, single handedly if he must, even if it means risking his life without backup. Ambulance premiered in theaters April 8th.
The talented young Sanders got his first break in the Sundance Film Festival hit The Ten starring Jessica Alba and Paul Rudd. His next roles came quickly afterwards when he landed a supporting role in American Gangster opposite Academy Award Winner Denzel Washington. A flurry of films rapidly ensued; including a lead role in the independent faith-based feature The Least Among You which also stared Oscar winner Louis Gossett Jr. Sanders received the Best Actor Award at the San Diego Film Festival for that performance. A supporting role in David Fincher's critically acclaimed Oscar nominated film The Social Network as well as the Indie car racer dramedy Rocksteady and All Things Fall Apart starring Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson. On the small screen Sanders has lent his talent to multiple hit television shows like "Law & Order," "Law & Order: SVU" with Emmy nominated actor Andre Braugher, "Life Support" with Queen Latifah, "NCIS," "Bones," "9-1-1" and a series regular role on the ABC drama "Mind Games" opposite Steve Zahn and Christian Slater.

Kelly Moneymaker is an Alaskan Creative Media Producer (film + sound + music). Her mission is to authentically represent other storytellers by facilitating transparency through the lens of her Samoan genealogy and birth-adoptive Inupiat identity. Kelly has a BA in Creative Media Production and an MA in Creative Enterprise from Massey University (Wellington, NZ), which focused on Indigenous research frameworks and methodologies for creative technology. Kelly's multicultural roots have inspired her passion for Indigenous storytelling and the environment, which led to her directing the Award-winning documentary VAKA. The short student film premiered at the UNFCCC COP25 in Madrid, representing the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade New Zealand (MFAT) and the Ministry of Climate Oceans Resilience and Environment Tokelau (MiCORE). VAKA garnered several awards including Best Documentary Short at the Toronto International Women Film Festival, New York Indie Shorts (Best Student Female Director, Best Sound Design), and was chosen as one of the Top 10 films of 2019 for the UNFCCC's Climate Crisis Film Festival. Her feature documentary, "Drum Song: The Rhythm of Life", along with a short animated companion piece, "Reclamation" are about Indigenous climate adaptation in her homeland of Alaska. They were co-created with rural Native communities and Arctic researchers. Kelly says, "It has been an honor and privilege to return to my homeland and learn from the co-creators of "Drum Song". Each stage of the research and filmmaking process has been and will continue to be led and approved by the local Indigenous communities who've co-created it so we may lift the diversity of our voices and resound together." Moneymaker has been a professionally represented musician since age 14. She is best known as a member of platinum-selling pop vocal trio Exposé. Moneymaker co-wrote and co-produced, Joy, a multimedia holiday album for Blue Aeris Ltd. (Mercia Records, The Orchard/Sony UK) for Futures Without Violence. It had over 2.2 Million views during the first month after its release, and currently has 1.3 Million streams on Spotify.
